How Discord Webhook Alerts Work

Bot-Hosting sends real-time alerts to your Discord server via webhooks when any monitored service changes status. When a service goes down, experiences issues, returns to operational, or enters maintenance, a webhook notification is delivered to your configured Discord channel. Each alert includes the affected service name, the new status, severity level, and a link to the full status page for details.

Setting Up a Webhook

To create a webhook in Discord, open your server settings, navigate to Integrations, and select Webhooks. Create a new webhook, choose the channel for notifications, and copy the webhook URL. Paste the URL into the Bot-Hosting alerts page and select which monitors you want to receive notifications for. You can configure the webhook for all monitored services, inncidents, and other.

Alert Types

The webhook system supports several alert types. Status change alerts fire when a service transitions between up, down, issues, and maintenance states. Incident alerts notify you when new incidents are created, updated, or resolved. Each alert type can be independently enabled or disabled per webhook, giving you fine-grained control over which notifications reach your Discord server.

API Key Generation

To use the Bot-Hosting Status webhooks, Log in with your Discord account, navigate to the alerts page, and enter your Discord webhook then configure it for alert types, priority monitors and etc.

Monitoring Categories

Bot-Hosting monitors four main categories of services. Website monitors track the main site, wiki, control panel, and advertising pages. Free node monitors check server availability in Germany and Finland. Premium node monitors track US and European high-performance servers. Database monitors ensure free and professional database services remain accessible. You can subscribe to alerts for all services or filter by specific categories.
